Reflection
After a stressful year navigating the pandemic, this project, with the parents of my friends from Meridian Hill Pictures, was a relaxing delight to do. I had been wanting to practice digital coloring using Adobe Photoshop brushes, a skill I could share with my Visual Language students. We are now working on the second book of this series.
I'm also interested in children's book writing and publishing, to create onramps to ideas that might otherwise be abstract or inaccessible. For example, this book helps children learn about their family roots and practice making their own family tree.
